Shawna Penland
Co-Owner: Marketing & selections manager

Shawna received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Communications with a concentration in Marketing from Western Carolina University. While in school, Shawna was a cheerleader for both basketball and football seasons, volunteer/organizer for the annual Mountain Heritage Day Festival, and enjoyed classes where she was able to explore and learn different facets of the marketing industry.

Western Carolina is also where she met husband and owner of Milestone Contracting, Dustin Penland. Over the years, the two have become a dynamic duo working together to keep their business organized and ensuring clients have a pleasant experience throughout the building process.

As Selections Manager, Shawna assists clients in the scheduling, budgeting and selection of everything from paint colors and flooring, to tile and lighting, etc. She also manages the website and social media platforms.

In her spare time, she enjoys time with family and friends visiting all the wonderful restaurants Asheville has to offer, boating at Lake Lure, and various trips to local bakeries with daughters, Blakely, Everly and Elynn.
